OUR GROWERS – RIVERSFIELD FARM – VINCENT GRACE

In 2010 Vincent Grace, a Kilkenny Native, traded his career in Dublin working with the homeless and in rehabilitation for offenders and drug users, for a life organically developing the 11 acre family farm near Callan, Co Kilkenny.

Vincent and his young family returned to Callan in 2010 with the vision to build a sustainable and ethical business which could provide a living for the family and produce quality tasty food, organically and locally.

Following studies at Organic College Dromcollogher and receiving certified organic status from IOA in 2013 Vincent has grown the business by supplying local restaurants including 2 Michelin star restaurants.

The food grown by Riversfield farm has been sown and grown with care, dedication and respect to the soil and the land which provides tastier, cleaner produce.
Vincent farms to strict organic principles using crop rotation and green manures. His chemical and pesticide free produce is sown, grown and harvested on the farm which ensures that it is consistent, reliable and of the highest quality. Importantly, his products will not have travelled thousands of air miles before reaching the plate.

Riversfield farm is now an established, well respected business in Kilkenny with a proven reputation for quality. Strong links with Savour Kilkenny and Taste recently led to being asked to participate in a promotional video with Catherine Fulvio showcasing the best of Irish produce in the South East.

Riversfield farm already provides employment in the local area and his future plans are reliant upon him increasing his customer base and connecting to a route to market.

Riversfield Farm offer third level students the opportunity to complete their placements on the farm which increases practical knowledge, solutions and skills in organic farming.
